The first Superbowl I remember was Bears v. Patriots in ‘86. Walter Payton was the star RB and drew all the defense, allowing 6 other Bears to score. Including William “The Refrigerator” Perry. And of course, Ditka.

Last week’s timeline: the Fed held rates steady, ISM and employment both came in low, Japan hiked 25 bps and unwound the carry trade, markets puked. In advance of all of it, Buffett was trimming his BOA and AAPL holdings all quarter. He doesn’t miss.
